Install and update

Install Lamied

Download the installer for your computer from the Download page. No account is needed to download or to use the editor. The download page shows the exact installation commands for the current release, and a checksum to verify the file.

For a guided first run (installing, opening a project, connecting a model and making your first change), follow Get Started.

Check your version

Run lamied -v in a terminal. It prints the installed version.

Updates

When a newer release is available, the status bar at the bottom of the window shows Update available: <version>. Click it to open the download page in your browser. Lamied never downloads or installs an update on its own.

What works without an account

The editor, search, terminal, Git and GitHub, complexity analysis and the development workflows all work without signing in. The AI features need a Lamied Pro account. See Account and sign-in for the full comparison.
