Fix with Lamied

Send any error or warning in the editor straight to the assistant.

Fix an error in one click

  1. Hover over any red (error) or yellow (warning) squiggle in the editor.
  2. Click ✨ Fix with Lamied in the hover card.

It's also in the quick-fix menu: put the cursor on the problem and press Ctrl., or click the lightbulb.

What it sends

The problem goes to the AI assistant as a normal chat request: the file, line and column, the error message and where it came from, and the line of code. For example:

The request Fix with Lamied writes for you
Fix this error in cli/main.py:15:6
error [Pyright reportMissingImports]: Import "atm_app.service" could not be resolved

15 | from atm_app.service .service import ATMService

Find the cause, fix it, and check that the problem is gone.

The assistant then works like any other task. It can look at the rest of the project (for example, to find which module really exists), fix the cause, and recheck that the error is gone. You see every step in the chat, and /undo reverses it.

If you had a half-written message in the chat box, it's kept: the fix request is added after it for you to send, not sent over it.

Which errors it works on

Every language, and every problem the editor shows:

  • Errors from language servers, such as type errors, missing imports and undefined names, once language support is installed and on for the workspace (Extensions and language servers).
  • The editor's built-in syntax checks for TypeScript and JavaScript, which need no setup.

Fix with Lamied needs Pro, like the rest of the AI assistant. See Account and sign-in.
