Themes, zoom and layout
Color themes, zoom, the sidebar, and window controls.
Color themes
Pick a theme from the theme menu in the status bar, at the bottom right of the window. It applies instantly to the editor, the panels and the terminal, and Lamied remembers it next time.
Ten themes are included:
- Dark+ (default dark)
- Light+ (default light)
- Dracula
- GitHub Dark
- GitHub Light
- Monokai
- Night Owl
- Nord
- One Dark Pro
- Tokyo Night
Zoom
| Action | Shortcut | Menu |
|---|---|---|
| Zoom in | Ctrl+ | View → Zoom In |
| Zoom out | Ctrl- | View → Zoom Out |
| Reset to 100% | Ctrl0 | View → Reset Zoom |
Zoom scales the whole window: text, icons and panels. Ctrl= works for zoom in as well, so you don't need Shift, and the number-pad + and − keys work too.
Layout
| Part of the window | Show or hide | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar (Explorer, Search, Source Control…) | CtrlB | View → Toggle Sidebar Visibility. Drag its right edge to resize. |
| AI assistant panel | CtrlJ | Or the ✦ icon in the activity bar. Drag its left edge to resize. |
| Bottom panel (Terminal, Output, Preview) | Ctrl` | View → Terminal. |
The activity bar is the column of icons on the far left. Each icon opens a view in the sidebar: Explorer, Search, Source Control, Complexity Dashboard, Task Workspaces, Scenario Lab and Extensions.
Status bar
The bar along the bottom shows, from left to right:
- the current Git branch. Click it to switch or create a branch (see Source control and GitHub);
- GitHub progress, while publishing or signing in;
- the open workspace;
- Update available, when a newer Lamied is out;
- Upgrade, to sign in or get Pro;
- the theme menu, and the language and name of the active file.
